97th Study Session (April 15, Wednesday) for Hospital Managers, Executives, and University Affiliates - Hosted by The Association for Considering the Future of Japanese Healthcare

The medical information magazine "Gekkan Shuuchuu" (Monthly "Concentration"), launched in 2008 (B5 size, 50,000 copies distributed on the 1st of each month), provides useful medical information for hospital management and doctors, covering trends in healthcare administration, pharmaceuticals, and medical device companies. Additionally, our company hosts a regular study session called "The Association for Considering the Future of Japanese Healthcare" (hereinafter referred to as "Future Association"), where monthly themes are discussed regarding the various issues facing Japanese healthcare. Diet members, hospital managers, and executives from medical-related companies gather to exchange information. (Medical professionals can attend for free; as of January 2026, approximately 2,500 people are registered.)

[Theme] Japan's Pediatric Liver Transplant Initiative and Beyond Transplant Medicine

[Speaker] Dr. Gun'ei Kasahara, Director of the National Center for Child Health and Development
Dr. Kasahara, who boasts world-class surgical numbers and high survival rates in pediatric living donor liver transplantation, built the center's liver transplant program from scratch and elevated Japan's liver transplant system to international standards. In this lecture, drawing upon the unique path of Japanese transplant medicine, where organ donation from brain-dead donors is limited, he will propose the ideal sustainable system for an era of declining birthrates. Furthermore, he will introduce Japan's international initiatives, such as overseas human resource development and medical support.
