Japanese Learning Service 'TalkFun Japan' Using Anime to Release Final Beta (β2) Before Official Launch on July 1

β2 is the last beta version that allows users to experience key features planned for the official version free of charge in advance. Following the official release scheduled for the end of August 2026, it will be offered as a paid service.

Furthermore, those who register during the β2 period will receive a 50% discount on the usage fee for two months after the official version is released. Learning history from the beta period is planned to be carried over to the official version.

● Why is practical Japanese language learning in demand now?

In recent years, Japan has been expanding its acceptance of foreign workers, and the importance of Japanese language education is higher than ever for companies and educational institutions.

On the other hand, Japanese companies point out the challenge that "even with N3 certification in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, employees cannot fully utilize practical Japanese in the workplace."

The background to this is that many Japanese learning services focus on acquiring vocabulary and grammar, and there is insufficient environment to continuously learn Japanese that can be practically used in the workplace and daily life. TalkFun Japan addresses this issue by providing a new learning experience that enables users to acquire "Japanese that is fun to continue learning and can be used in practice" through story-based learning utilizing anime.

In the β1 version released in April 2026, over 100 people cooperated with test usage. We are deeply grateful.

1 Naturally continue daily learning

We have newly implemented XP (experience points), streak (continuous learning), daily missions, and level-up functions. This makes daily tasks clear and supports habit formation through gamified learning.

This aims to solve the problem of "Japanese learning not continuing."

2 Learning that goes beyond just watching

We have added comprehension tests after video viewing. This builds a learning cycle of "Watch" → "Understand" → "Confirm" → "Retain," supporting the acquisition of vocabulary and conversational expressions.

3 Continue learning while feeling growth

We have newly equipped a learning dashboard. By visualizing learning time, experience points, and achievement status, we support learners in continuing their studies while feeling their own growth.

● Official Version to Have 25 Episodes, New Stories to Be Added Sequentially

The number of anime materials, which was 7 in β1, will be expanded to 13 in β2 and a total of 25 episodes in the official version (V1). By gradually enriching the content towards the official release, we will provide an environment where practical Japanese can be learned in a wider range of scenes.

Furthermore, after the official release, we plan to add new stories and conversation practice functions as V2, continuously evolving learning content and features. TalkFun Japan aims to be a Japanese learning service that provides long-term value through repeated updates.

● Management Features Easy for Corporate Introduction

TalkFun Japan also offers corporate features to support Japanese language education for foreign workers. Administrators can check learning progress from a dedicated management screen and manage/modify accounts and users. Volume discounts based on the number of users will also be available.
