NFT Marketplace "HEXA" to Distribute "New Product Development Project Pass" for 5 Municipalities' Cabinet Office Model Project Free of Charge

Media Equity Co., Ltd., which operates the NFT marketplace "HEXA," will distribute the "New Product Development Project Pass," a regional NFT for five participating municipalities (Yachiyo Town, Ibaraki Prefecture; Noda City, Chiba Prefecture; Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture; Hakui City, Ishikawa Prefecture; Takahama Town, Fukui Prefecture), free of charge on HEXA. This is part of a regional revitalization model project conducted by the General Incorporated Association for Public-Private Partnership Promotion Organization utilizing the Cabinet Office's "Regional Future Fund."

Distribution for Yachiyo Town (Ibaraki Prefecture), Katsuragi City (Nara Prefecture), Hakui City (Ishikawa Prefecture), and Takahama Town (Fukui Prefecture) will begin on July 2nd (Noda City, Chiba Prefecture will be announced separately once preparations are complete).

In this project, NFTs are positioned as "proof of participation" for regional development. Through this free distribution on HEXA, local residents and fans nationwide who are not familiar with crypto assets (virtual currency) can receive a "Project Pass" without cost or complex procedures, enabling them to participate in the development of collaborative products between local businesses and idols.

About This Model Project

This project is being implemented by GMTS Co., Ltd. utilizing the Cabinet Office's "Regional Future Fund," with five municipalities collaborating under the leadership of Yachiyo Town, Ibaraki Prefecture. Idols and influencers will develop collaborative products with local businesses to promote the charm of the region.
