Notice Regarding Filing of Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Recomot Co., Ltd.

Medcom Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Yasuyuki Sato; hereinafter "the Company") announced that on March 30, 2026, it filed a lawsuit with the Tokyo District Court seeking an injunction against the manufacture, sale, and use of products related to Recomot Co., Ltd.'s (hereinafter "Recomot") "moconavi" service, as well as disposal and damages, alleging that the service infringes on the Company's patent rights (Patent No. 7320800).

■Background to the Filing of this Lawsuit
The Company has developed unique technologies related to shared terminals (smartphones) and their operating systems to support efficient terminal operation in medical institutions and other settings, and holds the results as important intellectual property.
The Company determined that Recomot's provision of the "moconavi" service highly likely infringes on the Company's patent rights, and has repeatedly requested correction from Recomot. However, as no sufficient response or improvement has been obtained to date, and there is no prospect of resolution, the Company has reluctantly filed this lawsuit to protect its intellectual property rights.
