The Japan Medical Association (Chairman: Yoshikazu Matsumoto) recently announced that, through the courtesy of Toei Co., Ltd., a special screening of the film "Even If Mom Isn't in This World Anymore: My Life's Diary" [to be released nationwide on October 2, 2026 (Fri.)] will be held at the Japan Medical Association Hall Auditorium on August 23 (Sun.) from 1:00 PM, with a total of 400 people to be invited by lottery.

The film is based on the bestselling memoir "Even If Mom Isn't in This World Anymore: My Life's Diary" by Kazuto (Nodoka) Endo, whose story was featured in a popular variety show and touched the hearts of people across Japan as a "true story that will make you cry uncontrollably."

It is a "true love story" depicting the powerful life of Kazuto Endo, who was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer at the young age of 21, and lived her life with the support of her family, including her husband Shoichi.
