Delivery of 153 Elevators and Escalators for Taiwan MRT Sanying Line

Mitsubishi Electric Building Solutions Corporation (President: Iwao Oda; Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) announced that its Taiwanese subsidiary, Taiwan Mitsubishi Elevator Co., Ltd. (TMEC), has completed the delivery of 153 elevators and escalators for the first phase of the New Taipei MRT Sanying Line, which is scheduled to commence operations in the summer of 2026.

## Project Overview
In this project, a total of 40 elevators and 113 escalators were delivered to all 12 stations of the Sanying Line Phase 1, as well as the administration and vehicle maintenance centers. As public transport infrastructure continues to expand in Taiwan, the opening of this line is expected to improve access from the Sanxia and Yingge Districts to central Taipei and reduce commuting times. Mitsubishi Electric and TMEC aim to support a safe and comfortable vertical mobility environment and contribute to sustainable urban transport development in Taiwan.

## Key Features of Delivered Products
1. **Elevator Seismic Control Operation**
Equipped with seismic sensors that automatically control operation during earthquakes, ensuring the rapid evacuation and safety of passengers.
2. **Enhanced Design and Convenience with See-Through and Through-Type Elevators**
19 of the 40 elevators feature see-through glass designs to create bright and open station spaces. Additionally, 6 units are through-type elevators with doors on two sides, optimizing passenger flow in limited spaces.
3. **Automatic Speed Control for Escalators**
Escalators feature a speed control system that automatically adjusts based on passenger usage. This reduces unnecessary power consumption, improves energy efficiency, and lowers environmental impact.

## About the New Taipei MRT Sanying Line
The New Taipei MRT Sanying Line is a 14.29-kilometer elevated railway being developed by the New Taipei City Government Department of Rapid Transit Systems. It connects Dingpu Station to Yingge District via Sanxia District. The line connects to the Tucheng Line at Dingpu and the Taiwan Railways Administration's West Coast line at Yingge. Future connections to the Taoyuan Metro Green Line are also planned, making it a key hub for the regional transport network.
