Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec Co., Ltd. endorses April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to express dreams. This press release is a dream of the "Infrastructure Mirai Project."

Our Dream

As a company involved in infrastructure, we have one dream.

"To make December 6th 'A Day to Casually Think About Infrastructure.'"

### Why Infrastructure Now?

Electricity, water, roads, communication ──. Infrastructure is indispensable to our daily lives.

However, it is not often consciously thought of as something "taken for granted" in everyday life. It is also something that only attracts attention when it breaks down or when problems occur.

### The Choice to Casually Think

Currently, Japan's infrastructure is at a major turning point. Many infrastructures developed during the period of rapid economic growth are aging and will soon be due for renewal.

Amidst these changes, infrastructure maintenance may become a more familiar topic than ever before.

That being said, there is no need to make it difficult. Even without special knowledge, just a little, "What's going on with this?" and casually ponder it.

Perhaps such a way of engagement is acceptable.

### What is Infrastructure Mirai Day?

We realized that there are almost no "triggers" in society to think about infrastructure.

While the word "infrastructure" is often heard, it is a bit difficult to explain. Although it is essential for daily life, there are few opportunities for it to be discussed. Therefore, we decided to create that trigger ourselves.

"Infrastructure Mirai Day" is a commemorative day on December 6th, derived from the Japanese wordplay 1 (in) 2 (fu) 6 (ra).

### The Future We Aim For

For December 6th to be naturally remembered as "Today is Infrastructure Mirai Day."

For infrastructure to be spoken of in society not as "something that is just there," but as "something that someone supports."

And for all those involved in infrastructure to have pride in their future.

About the Infrastructure Mirai Project

The Infrastructure Mirai Project is a project that creates opportunities for us to pause and think casually about "infrastructure," which supports our daily lives.

Infrastructure is built by human hands and protected by human hands. Our ordinary lives are sustained by the efforts of many companies, on-site technologies, and daily hard work.

The purpose of this project is to raise awareness of these unseen values and the people who support them.

Looking Ahead

Mitsubishi Chemical Infratec Co., Ltd., as the secretariat of the "Infrastructure Mirai Project," will spread a "culture of thinking about infrastructure together" throughout society.
