Paris, April 1, 2026 – JCDecaux SE (Euronext Paris: DEC), the world's largest out-of-home advertising company, signed an agreement on March 30 to acquire Vista Communications Inc., a Japanese company based in Tokyo specializing in taxi shelter (covered taxi stand) advertising.

Since 2012, Vista Communications Inc. has operated a total of 29 taxi shelters (58 advertising faces, 7 of which are digital) primarily in busy areas of Tokyo such as Shibuya, Roppongi, Shinjuku, Shinagawa, Akihabara, and Ueno. This beneficial service has served Tokyo citizens and international tourists waiting for taxis at these shelters.

Through this agreement, MC-Decaux will enter Japan's taxi shelter business, complementing its existing lineup of over 850 B-Stop® units (MC-Decaux's name for advertising-equipped bus shelters in Japan) currently operating in Tokyo. This is expected to strengthen JCDecaux's presence in Tokyo through MC-Decaux Inc., a joint venture with Mitsubishi Corporation.

MC-Decaux plans to increase the number of advertising-equipped shelters at taxi stands managed by the Tokyo Taxi Center through this agreement. This will allow the company to offer better services to Tokyo residents, in one of the world's most vibrant metropolitan areas, through more comprehensive and consistent design, cleaning, and maintenance proposals in the evolving digital out-of-home advertising market.

Currently, MC-Decaux operates B-Stop® and CIP® (City Information Panel) in 43 cities across Japan, including the top 10 most populous cities (Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Kawasaki, Kobe, Kyoto, Hiroshima).

Jean-Charles Decaux, Co-CEO of JCDecaux SE, stated:
"This acquisition is perfectly aligned with JCDecaux's selective international growth strategy, focusing on high-quality media assets located in high-traffic urban areas. By becoming a leader in the taxi shelter operations business in Tokyo, MC-Decaux will underscore its presence in a crucial market at the heart of one of the world's largest metropolitan areas. With this acquisition, JCDecaux will further strengthen its framework for developing service-oriented and sustainable media offerings, while meeting the expectations of advertisers, municipalities, and citizens."
