MCD3 Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masao Iida) has established a new service platform to seamlessly integrate its construction industry cloud service 'Kensetsu Site Series' and the worker-focused smartphone app 'My Green Site' with external services. The company has signed integration agreements, including technical verification, with three companies. MCD3 plans to proceed with full-scale deployment of integrated services sequentially after conducting technical verification and trials with each partner.

Challenges and Background

As digital transformation (DX) in construction sites is increasingly demanded across the industry, the adoption of IT tools by skilled workers from subcontracting companies—especially foremen (※1)—has become essential. However, the following challenges have been hindering DX progress at construction sites:

Challenges on the General Contractor Side

For newly arriving workers, general contractors must issue individual accounts and send project invitations for each IT tool used, creating a significant administrative and operational burden.

Challenges on the Skilled Worker (Foreman) Side

When multiple tools are used on-site, workers must register and manage different IDs and passwords for each tool. Small issues such as 'unable to log in' or 'don't know how to use it' accumulate, leading to resistance toward IT tools. For skilled workers who are already busy with on-site tasks, these daily hurdles have become major barriers to DX adoption.

Overview of the External Service Integration Platform

To address these challenges, MCD3 has built an external service integration platform centered on My Green Site. Leveraging the Kensetsu Site Series' database of over 2.8 million skilled workers, the platform automatically issues a unique user ID to each worker, enabling seamless integration with external IT services.

Key Features and Benefits

Seamless Site Access Workers can automatically join a project within the partner service simply by navigating from My Green Site to the integrated service. Manual invitations by general contractor staff are no longer required (patent pending).

Single Sign-On (SSO) Login Users can log in to partner services via Single Sign-On (SSO) (※2) using their Kensetsu Site Series user ID, eliminating the need to manage separate IDs and passwords for each service.

Automated ID Issuance Using Green Site Data By utilizing data from over 2.8 million skilled workers registered in Green Site—one of the services in the Kensetsu Site Series lineup that handles labor safety documentation—MCD3 automatically issues user IDs within My Green Site. Workers can immediately start using integrated services without the hassle of creating new accounts.

These features reduce operational burdens for both general contractor staff and skilled workers (foremen), supporting the advancement of DX at construction sites.

Important Notes

The integration does not guarantee support for all functions within each partner service.
