MCD3 Inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Masao Iida; hereinafter "the Company") will launch "Green Site AI Check (tentative name)"*2, a new feature that utilizes AI technology to significantly streamline document review tasks within "Green Site," a labor safety document creation and management service for the construction industry, during fiscal year 2026. Prior to the general release, Taisei Corporation (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Yoshiro Aikawa; hereinafter "Taisei Corporation") will begin a pilot program for the feature in April 2026.
Background of Development In the construction industry, while the use of Green Site has improved efficiency by digitizing the creation and management of labor safety documents (commonly known as "Green Files"), the process remains a significant burden. Prime contractors must manually review each document submitted by subcontractors for errors or missing attachments and request corrections. This document review process is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and often incurs costs when outsourced to external BPO*3 service providers, presenting major challenges in terms of productivity and cost.
To address these issues, the Company has begun developing this feature by leveraging its advanced AI technology.
Overview of "Green Site AI Check" "Green Site AI Check" is a feature that uses AI to automatically verify documents submitted by subcontractors via Green Site. It checks for the presence of required attachments, such as purchase orders and written acknowledgments, verifies the content within those documents, and automatically sends correction request emails if any deficiencies are found.
Expected Benefits We estimate that the introduction of this feature will reduce the total time spent by prime contractors on document review tasks by up to 85%. This will allow prime contractor staff to focus on higher value-added tasks. Additionally, subcontractors will be able to receive feedback on document deficiencies as early as the next day, enabling rapid corrective action.
Pilot Program by Taisei Corporation Taisei Corporation will utilize this feature starting in April 2026 to verify its effectiveness. The Company will incorporate feedback from this verification process to further improve quality.
Comment from Koji Nakatani, General Manager of the DX Promotion Department, Building Division, Taisei Corporation: "We have been using Green Site since 2005, working to improve the accuracy of construction organization ledgers and reduce the workload for both our staff and our subcontractors. However, the review and correction of submitted documents still rely heavily on manual labor, and further productivity improvement remains a challenge."
"Upon receiving a proposal for a new AI-based solution from MCD3 Inc., we decided to cooperate in the pilot program with the expectation that it would contribute to solving these issues. Through this initiative, we aim to achieve both efficiency and quality assurance in document work by fusing the company's advanced AI technology with the knowledge and know-how we have cultivated at construction sites."
"Furthermore, we hope that this feature will promote the sophistication and standardization of business processes across the entire construction industry, contributing to improved productivity and work-style reform for the industry as a whole."
Future Outlook Moving forward, the Company will continue to utilize AI and digital technology in services such as "Green Site" to contribute to productivity improvements and work-style reform at construction sites. Under our mission of "Staying close to industries and facing social issues," we will vigorously promote DX across the entire construction industry.
*1: This is an estimated value based on the results of a PoC (Proof of Concept) conducted according to the review items and business flows assumed by the Company. *2: The pricing for this feature is currently undecided. Details will be announced as soon as they are determined. *3: BPO: Abbreviation for Business Process Outsourcing. Refers to outsourcing part or all of a company's business processes to an external party.
