Mazex Co., Ltd. Opens Tohoku Sales Office in Akita Prefecture, Promoting Solutions for Agricultural Challenges with Smart Agricultural Machinery

Mazex Co., Ltd., headquartered in Higashiosaka City, Osaka Prefecture, has established its Tohoku Sales Office in Kosaka-machi, Kazuno-gun, Akita Prefecture. The new office will be managed in collaboration with SKY-N, a company based in Kosaka-machi, Akita Prefecture, specializing in drone design, manufacturing, and sales. This integration aims to enhance support for agricultural challenges in the Tohoku region. The Tohoku region, accounting for approximately 19% of Japan's cultivated land, faces severe issues including a rapidly aging farming population, labor shortages, fragmented farmlands in mountainous areas, and delays in infrastructure development, hindering efficient farming practices. The new office will leverage advanced drone technology and local service networks to provide timely and high-quality farming support. Key products to be deployed include Mazex's "Hijo" series agricultural drones for efficient pesticide spraying in rice paddies and other crops, particularly designed for small, scattered plots in mountainous regions. Additionally, the "Aries300N" next-generation speed sprayer from the ALLYNAV series will be introduced for fruit orchards, aiming to reduce labor and improve efficiency in pesticide application for fruit trees. Mazex plans to contribute to addressing labor shortages, reducing workload, and improving productivity in Tohoku agriculture, supporting the establishment of next-generation agricultural management models and sustainable regional agriculture.
