Maxell, Ltd. (hereinafter, Maxell) will hold a workshop for elementary school students titled "Discovering the Future of Batteries" on August 4 (Tue) at Maxell's "Kuse ga Aru Studio" within the Art & Technology Village Kyoto.

This workshop will teach the principles and evolution of batteries through "experiments" and "crafting." It will introduce the story from understanding battery mechanisms with potato batteries to crafting manganese batteries, and further to all-solid-state batteries packed with the latest technology. The workshop will also explain the history and technological evolution of batteries, as well as Maxell's proprietary technologies and the future of its battery business. The content is designed to help participants realize the connection between science and technology and society.

Venue: Maxell "Kuse ga Aru Studio" (within Art & Technology Village Kyoto)

Target Audience: Grades 3-6 (Grades 1-2 can participate with parental support)

Capacity: 20 participants per session (first-come, first-served)

Fee: Free
