Maruzen Junkudo Bookstores Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) has been holding events since January 2026 to commemorate the "50th Anniversary of Junkudo Bookstore" in 2026.
Starting Friday, April 10, 2026, as the first wave of "50th Anniversary Commemorative Merchandise," we will sell convenient eco-bags that can be stored in their inner pockets, large tote bags perfect for everyday use, simple and versatile T-shirts, and acrylic keychains modeled after the Port Tower, a symbol of Kobe where Junkudo Bookstore originated. These will be available at 41 "Junkudo Bookstore" and "MARUZEN & Junkudo Bookstore" locations in Japan (some stores excluded).
Furthermore, three stores—Junkudo Bookstore Ikebukuro Main Store, MARUZEN & Junkudo Bookstore Umeda Store, and Junkudo Bookstore Sannomiya Store—will hold an advance sale of all items starting Friday, April 3, 2026.
