Junkudo Bookstore to Host "Midnight Jun Club," a One-Night-Only Experience

Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will host the all-night event "Midnight Jun Club" as part of its 50th-anniversary commemorative project.

This is a special one-night-only event that will be held simultaneously at three Junkudo Bookstore locations: Ikebukuro Main Store, Osaka Main Store, and Naha Store, from 9:00 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026, until 6:00 AM on Sunday, August 23.

Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore has previously held nine "Living in a Bookstore" events since 2014, where customers could leisurely read books in a closed bookstore, realizing the value of spending a night there.

To celebrate Junkudo Bookstore's 50th anniversary in 2026, this special all-night event will be held. Participants can leisurely choose books and enjoy reading until morning in a bookstore after closing hours, a place they normally cannot be. In addition, various book-related programs will be offered.

◇ Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore's Concept of "Reading"

Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore does not consider reading to be merely "reading a book."

The time spent pondering what to choose before reading.

We believe that all of these constitute the reading experience.

"Midnight Jun Club" is a night to share everything related to such reading.
