Junkudo Bookstore to Host a One-Night-Only Experience: "Midnight Jun Club"

Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo) will hold the all-night event "Midnight Jun Club" as part of its 50th-anniversary commemorative project.

This project is a one-night-only special event that will be held simultaneously at three Junkudo Bookstore locations: Ikebukuro Main Store, Osaka Main Store, and Naha Store, from 9:00 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2026, to 6:00 AM on Sunday, August 23.

Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore has previously held an event called "Living in a Bookstore" a total of nine times since 2014, allowing customers to slowly read books in the store after closing hours, and has realized the value of spending a night in a bookstore.

In 2026, when Junkudo Bookstore celebrates its 50th anniversary, this special all-night event will be held. You can leisurely choose books and read until morning in the bookstore after closing hours, a time when you normally cannot be there. In addition, various book-related programs will be implemented.

◇Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore's Concept of "Reading"

Maruzen Junkudo Bookstore does not consider reading to be merely "reading a book."
