Ichikawa City and Marusoku Co., Ltd. Sign Agreement on Drone Utilization During Disasters

Ichikawa City (Mayor: Ko Tanaka) has signed an "Agreement on Information Gathering and Dissemination via Unmanned Aerial Vehicles During Disasters" with Marusoku Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Hideki Nomura).

The purpose of this agreement is to contribute to ensuring the safety of citizens and facilitating rapid disaster response by utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to assess damage, share information, and conduct surveys when a disaster occurs.

The signing ceremony was held at Ichikawa City Hall, where Mayor Ko Tanaka and the Representative Director of Marusoku Co., Ltd. signed the agreement.

Main Contents of the Agreement

Based on this agreement, Marusoku Co., Ltd. will provide the following support:

・Surveying and measuring disaster damage using unmanned aerial vehicles
・Providing information captured by unmanned aerial vehicles
・Cooperating in search and rescue operations using unmanned aerial vehicles
・Joint training exercises utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles for disaster prevention drills, etc.
・Technical support and advice regarding the use of unmanned aerial vehicles
・Cooperation in the dissemination of disaster information

This initiative aims to strengthen the system for rapid situation assessment and information sharing during disasters. This agreement is expected to enhance Ichikawa City's information-gathering capabilities in the event of a disaster.
