Italian Restaurant "La Veduta": "Canzone Dinner" Celebrating the Flavors of Southern Italy

"La Veduta" presents a one-day-only special dinner event where guests can enjoy exquisite Italian cuisine, fine wines, and the beloved Italian songs known as "Canzoni."

Inspired by the culinary traditions of Puglia and Calabria, this special dinner course blends the bountiful flavors of the Mediterranean with seasonal Japanese ingredients. Guests will enjoy a four-course menu crafted by the chef, perfectly paired with wines selected by our sommelier, offering a journey through Italy’s rich gastronomic culture.

The evening culminates in a live Canzone performance by soprano Tomoko Kitano, tenor Kiyohito Shimakage, and pianist Ayumi Kakegawa. Experience timeless Italian classics such as "'O Sole Mio," "Santa Lucia," and "Volare." Tomoko Kitano (Soprano) Graduated from Osaka College of Music, where she received the Outstanding Achievement Award. Currently serves as an instructor at The College Opera House Children's Choir, affiliated with Osaka College of Music, and at Kansai Opera Group’s “Fun Opera Class.”

Kiyohito Shimakage (Tenor) Graduated from the Vocal Music Department of Osaka College of Music and completed the Advanced Music Program at the same institution. Currently performs primarily in opera as a soloist registered with Biwako Hall Vocal Ensemble and as a member of Kamigata Opera Workshop, in addition to appearing in various concerts.

Ayumi Kakegawa (Piano) Graduated from the Music Department of Ochanomizu University and completed the Master’s Program at the same university’s Graduate School. Selected as a finalist in the 7th “Yangtze River Cup” International Music Competition. Active as a continuo player in operas by Mozart, Donizetti, and others, with expertise in recitative accompaniment.
