Courtyard by Marriott Fukui (Location: 1-3-5 Chuo, Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture; General Manager: Azusa Nonaka) will serve a special cocktail, "Heritage", infused with the thought of "Sustainable Exchange" connecting valuable heritage from the past to the future, at the 16F "THE LOUNGE & BAR" from May 1 (Fri) to May 31 (Sun), 2026.

"Heritage"

This piece is the cocktail "Heritage", inspired by the Japan Heritage "Kitamaebune". The Kitamaebune built a trading network stretching from Hokkaido to Hokuriku, Kansai, Okinawa, and even China, supporting the development of logistics, food culture, and economy along the Sea of Japan coast. Their operations were not merely commercial activities; they were pioneers of "sustainable exchange" that circulated regional value.

This cocktail inherits that spirit in the modern age, expressing the blessings of various regions in Japan in a single glass. Monkey 47 is used as the base to bring out a refreshing and deep flavor. Furthermore, by combining carbonated water based on kelp stock, it achieves both a unique Japanese umami and a light mouthfeel.

The central ingredient, kelp, is not only excellent in umami and nutritional value but is also an environmentally friendly, sustainable ingredient that contributes to curbing global warming by absorbing and storing carbon dioxide in the ocean.

Additionally, by combining Echizen cucumber and green shiso from Fukui Prefecture, a juicy and refreshing flavor is created. Yuzu honey uses honey and yuzu from Ishikawa Prefecture, adding a gentle sweetness and aroma derived from nature.

For the garnish, a vegetable sheet upcycled from imperfect vegetables is used, addressing the social issue of reducing food loss. For the finishing touch, cherry blossoms, a symbol of Japan, are arranged to express cultural beauty.

A glass infused with the thought of connecting value inherited from the past to the future—"Heritage". We offer a new glass that connects regional blessings and thoughts, rowing out toward the future.
