The Westin Yokohama, a lifestyle hotel embodying a new generation of "well-being," will host the "Matcha Garden Dessert Buffet" featuring a rich selection of matcha sweets at its 3rd-floor buffet restaurant, Pacific Table, starting Monday, May 11, 2026.

The popular signature bowl, approximately 1 meter in diameter, currently featured in the "Love Strawberry Buffet," will appear this time with a Japanese garden-inspired presentation. Standing out prominently at the center of the bowl is a DRY BONSAI. As a regenerative art form that breathes new life into once-withered bonsai, DRY BONSAI is attracting attention both domestically and internationally. Its existence deeply resonates with the philosophy of The Westin Yokohama, which has acquired Green Key certification and values sustainable initiatives.

Centered around this DRY BONSAI, desserts lavishly using matcha are arranged, expressing a Japanese garden unique to Pacific Table. In addition to the visually beautiful presentation, each flavor has been meticulously crafted. Please enjoy matcha sweets with a unique Pacific Table arrangement, along with the refreshing aroma that evokes early summer.

In May, the season for new tea, we have prepared desserts accented with the refreshing bitterness and rich flavor of matcha.

You can enjoy the pleasant harmony of sweetness and slight bitterness created by matcha and chocolate in the adorable matcha ganache and milk chocolate pops, like flowers blooming in a field, and the cute ladybug-shaped matcha chocolates and baked donuts that will surely bring a smile to your face.

Matcha and mango are added to the popular tiramisu, and matcha and red bean paste to the chocolate tart, making unexpected combinations one of the attractions. Furthermore, traditional Japanese sweets such as daifuku, shiratama shake, and warabi mochi also incorporate matcha, adding a new dimension to familiar flavors.

In addition to matcha, we also offer sweets using various other teas. The banana financier with the fragrant aroma of genmaicha (roasted brown rice tea) and the almond milk pudding combining oolong tea and lychee are exotic delights. Furthermore, white tea, the hotel's symbolic fragrance, has been crafted into an original blend jelly.
