Marimo Craft Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Koto-ku, Tokyo) has concluded a license agreement within Japan with Thai design team 'HOLEN'. We will officially launch character goods and fashion items featuring 'Hanuman', a monkey god from Thai traditional mythology redesigned with a modern and pop sensibility, this summer. Prior to this, we are pleased to announce that the first public unveiling and pre-sale event in Japan will be held at 'Thai Festival Tokyo 2026' in Yoyogi Park on May 9th (Saturday) and 10th (Sunday), 2026.

Project Background: Thai Tradition x Japanese Pop Culture

'HOLEN' is a noteworthy design team based in Thailand that brings Thai traditional culture to life with playful designs. The main character this time, 'Hanuman', is an arrangement of the hero appearing in the Thai epic 'Ramakien', restyled to fit the lifestyle of young people.

The aim of this project is to propose a new 'charm of Thailand' to Japanese character fans who love Thai culture.
