This marks a new all-time record for crowdfunding amount among over 50,000 projects on "Makuake," which was updated today.

"Elfin Flip 4K" is a home 4K projector with a slim profile of just 7.8 cm and tablet-sized portability. Its integrated 150° rotating gimbal design, eliminating the need for a tripod, allows for projection simply by placing it on any surface, such as a ceiling, wall, or desk. Equipped with an optical zoom ratio of 0.98-1.3:1, it can display a 100-inch equivalent image from a distance of approximately 2.17 meters without compromising image quality.

The project reached 50 million yen in its first hour, 200 million yen in 24 hours, and further exceeded 500 million yen at the fastest pace in "Makuake" history, setting a new all-time record on "Makuake" as of today, June 30, 2026.

Notably, this project was supported by a purchasing behavior that valued "overwhelming immersion" itself, rather than "low price." "Elfin Flip 4K" is priced between 119,000 and 130,000 yen, placing it in the high-price range for typical home projectors. The fact that it was supported by 5,717 individuals is attributed to numerous comments such as "I bought this instead of a TV" and "I want to enjoy an uncompromising 4K experience even in a small living space," indicating needs rooted in recent lifestyle changes and Japan's unique housing conditions.

The concept of transforming limited spaces into maximum entertainment areas, through ceiling projection, "bedside viewing" while lying down, or a large screen for desk work, gained broad support from both projector beginners and those particular about video quality.
