How Should Manufacturers Proceed with CRA Compliance by the Full Application in December 2027? Some obligations of the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), such as reporting on exploited vulnerabilities and significant incidents, are scheduled to be applied in advance starting September 2026. However, for manufacturers, the more significant points of action will be compliance with security requirements, handling of SBOMs, and establishing a system for long-term software updates after product shipment, in preparation for the full application in December 2027.

Companies dealing with industrial PCs, x86 CPU boards, and embedded devices will be required to implement security measures that consider the entire product lifecycle. Therefore, it is crucial to identify the impact on your own products from this point forward and proceed with the necessary preparations.
