The 'Security Countermeasure Evaluation System for Strengthening Supply Chains,' promoted by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)—commonly known as the SCS Evaluation System—is becoming an unavoidable issue for many companies. According to publicly available information, ★3 and ★4 ratings are scheduled to be implemented by the end of FY2026. As a result, compliance with this system is expected to become a requirement in future procurement and business transactions.
