Webinar Held: "For Resellers: Increasing Demand for Immutable Backups Against Ransomware. How to Reduce Design and Selection Effort?"

A webinar was held, co-organized by SB C&S Corp. and arcserve Japan G.K., with cooperation from Open Source Utilization Research Institute and Majisemi Inc. The theme focused on the increasing demand for immutable backups to prevent ransomware-induced data alteration and methods for resellers to reduce design and selection efforts. The threat of ransomware destroying backups has become a reality, escalating the importance of immutable backup data. Compliance with BCP/DR requirements and METI's Supply Chain Security Evaluation System (SCSE) is also mandated. Sales partners face challenges in proposing and implementing these solutions due to the heavy workload of requirements definition, sizing, configuration, compatibility checks, and verification, risking lost business opportunities. The webinar explained proposal and implementation methods centered on Cyber Resilient Storage (CRS) to achieve immutable backups in the shortest time. Specifically, the "CRS Appliance," launched on April 1, 2026, which pre-integrates necessary components, was introduced, aiming to reduce selection and compatibility burdens and accelerate proposals and construction.
