Porters has introduced MagicPod, an AI-powered test automation platform, to streamline QA for its cloud service 'PORTERS'. The implementation reduced full testing time from 3 months to 2 weeks, cutting costs by approximately 5 million JPY per cycle, and enabled a self-running QA system operated by an offshore team in Vietnam.

Porters, driven by the vision of 'contributing most to global employment through technology,' operates the cloud-based HR service 'PORTERS' both domestically and internationally. With over 2,200 companies using the platform—including staffing and recruitment agencies across 12 countries—Porters also publishes and manages 'PORTERS MAGAZINE,' a human resources strategy magazine.

As 'PORTERS' expanded in functionality, manual testing efforts grew significantly, requiring up to three months for full regression testing. A major challenge was that new releases had to be halted during middleware version upgrades. After evaluating multiple test automation tools, Porters selected 'MagicPod' in November 2023, highly valuing its unlimited execution flexibility—allowing tests to run as frequently as needed for releases and security updates—and its ease of adoption by engineering teams.

As a result, the time required for approximately 30,000 full test cases was reduced from three months to about two weeks, achieving a cost reduction of approximately 5 million JPY per testing cycle. Furthermore, through collaboration with an external partner, test automation expertise was transferred to an offshore team at VNEXT in Vietnam. The team now independently operates a 'continuous testing QA' system, enabling uninterrupted development and continuous releases even during full testing cycles.
