The 'Taketa-style Kofun Grave' is a modern communal and perpetual memorial grave, faithfully reconstructed based on academic insights from archaeologists, Shinto scholars, and architects, modeled after the keyhole-shaped burial mounds (zenpō-kōen-fun) of Japan's Kofun period. It features two burial methods: individual interments in surface plots ('eternal worship graves') and collective enshrinement in the front chamber (karō, or ossuary). The entire kofun stands quietly in Takamatsu, Kagawa, as one large communal grave. Burial alongside pets is also possible.

During the sessions, President Tsuneyasu Taketa provided on-site explanations about how keyhole-shaped tombs spread across Japan and discussed the historical and cultural significance of kofun culture. As a scholar of Japanese history and culture, Taketa carefully conveyed the meaning and appeal of the 'Taketa-style Kofun Grave' to all attendees.

The kofun grave at Takamatsu Hotaru Rose Garden is the company's second site, following the one in Noda. The 'Taketa-style Kofun Grave' is a modern communal and perpetual memorial grave that faithfully reconstructs the keyhole-shaped tombs of the Kofun period based on academic insights from archaeologists, Shinto scholars, and architects. It revives the burial system of the Kofun period—a purely Japanese culture before the introduction of Buddhism (538 CE)—and stands as a one-of-a-kind grave.

Authentic Design: Modeled after 3rd-century Yamato (Nara Basin) kofun. Features such as tiered construction, moats, stone paving, and stone chambers are recreated to build an authentic keyhole-shaped mound.
