Survey of 303 Dog Lovers! 'Celebrity Most Likely to Be Particular About Pet Food' Ranking: Shinobu Sakagami Takes 1st Place

Miyamura Animal Hospital (Location: Edogawa-ku, Director: Takuma Miyamura, https://m-petclinic.com/), where an active veterinarian also develops pet food, conducted a survey on pet food targeting 303 dog lovers.

In recent years, as interest in the healthy life expectancy of dogs has increased, awareness of daily diet and nutritional management has also changed. On the other hand, as the types of pet food and information become more diverse, various trends can be seen in how dog lovers think and choose, such as what criteria they use to select food and what information they refer to.

Therefore, we conducted a survey regarding pet food targeting 303 dog lovers, and we will introduce the results here.

*The gender ratio of the respondents was 37% male and 63% female. By age group, teenagers accounted for 0.7%, people in their 20s 20.5%, 30s 37.3%, 40s 27.1%, 50s 13.2%, and 60s 1.3%.

- In the ranking of celebrities who seem particular about pet food, 1st place is 'Shinobu Sakagami' (150 people), 2nd place 'Shohei Ohtani' (108 people), and 3rd place 'Takuya Kimura' (101 people).
- The most emphasized point when choosing pet food is 'Nutritional balance' with 225 people. Followed by 'Bite/appetite (pet's preference)' with 188 people, and 'Suits the pet's age and constitution' with 168 people.
- The monthly budget for pet food is mostly in the '3,000 yen to under 5,000 yen' range at 51.5%.
- The most referred to information when choosing pet food is 'Review sites and reviews' with 182 people. Followed by 'Manufacturer or brand official sites' with 137 people, and 'SNS' with 76 people.

When asked, 'Please tell us which celebrities seem likely to be particular about pet food. (Multiple answers allowed),' the results were 1st place 'Shinobu Sakagami' (150 people), 2nd place 'Shohei Ohtani' (108 people), and 3rd place 'Takuya Kimura' (101 people).
