LINE Yahoo Corporation (hereinafter referred to as LINE Yahoo) announced a new feature for its communication app "LINE" called "Agent i in chat," which allows users to call the AI agent "Agent i" within chat rooms to assist with answering questions and managing tasks. This feature is scheduled to be available within 2026.
The newly announced "Agent i in chat" feature allows users to ask questions and make requests by calling the AI agent "Agent i" within 1:1 or group chats on "LINE." The AI will understand the conversation context to provide answers and assist with necessary tasks. The AI's responses and execution results will be shared with the entire chat room, allowing all members to review them together or use the results as a springboard for further conversation.
"Agent i in chat" will also sequentially offer various features to support daily communication, such as a "Summarize Messages" function to summarize conversations within chat rooms, and a "Calculate" function to break down individual payment amounts from photos of meal receipts.

"Organize Tasks" Function
This function analyzes user requests and conversations to organize tasks for each member participating in the chat room and assists in registering them to LINE Notes.
"Register to Calendar" Function
This function extracts titles and dates/times from conversations about events within LINE chat rooms and assists in registering them to the calendar.
"Register to Album" Function
This function allows Agent i to categorize photos shared in chat rooms and assist in creating albums by assigning appropriate titles based on the images and conversation content.
Seamless access to "Agent i" from "LINE" chat list (Available since June 22, 2026)
After using "Agent i" within "LINE," a chat room for "Agent i" will appear in the "Chat List," allowing users to easily resume using "Agent i."

Agent i functions in chat rooms to support communication within LINE chat rooms
Agent i in chat rooms is an AI agent within LINE chat rooms that assists users in composing messages. Agent i in chat rooms offers various features, including "Analyze Mood," which was released in April, "Suggest Reply" to propose replies that match the conversation, and "Convert Tone" to change the tone of draft messages entered by the user.
※ The number of uses for Agent i in chat rooms is limited per day as follows:
- Free usage: 3 times
- LYP Premium member: 10 times
- LINE AI Service All-You-Can-Use Plan member: Unlimited
※ The number of uses is the total count of times "Suggest Reply," "Suggest Topic," "Analyze Mood," "Convert Tone," and "Correct Typos" were used.
"Analyze Mood" Function (Available since April 27, 2026)
"Analyze Mood," added to Agent i in chat rooms in April, is a function where the AI analyzes recent messages to assess communication tendencies with the other party and provide advice.
