A survey conducted by "LINE Gift" (※) revealed that the most popular gifts to receive in the summer are those that convey encouragement and thoughtfulness, such as messages like "It's hot" or "Good job."

Regarding gifts that people are happy to receive in the summer, "reward sweets/fruits" ranked first, followed by "cold food/drinks" and "instantly usable e-gifts." This indicates a preference for gifts that can be enjoyed casually in daily life, as well as those that offer a sense of the season unique to the hot weather.

Furthermore, many respondents emphasized the importance of an affordable price range (around 501 to 2,000 yen) that allows for easy acceptance, suggesting a demand for gifts that maintain a "just right" distance without burdening the recipient. The ability to naturally convey feelings of gratitude and appreciation is prioritized, highlighting the need for casualness and ease of receipt in summer gifting.

Against this backdrop of needs, "LINE Gift" is seeing increased use of casual gifts, sent as an extension of daily communication like "It's hot" or "Good job," in addition to more formal gifts like Ochuugen (mid-year gifts).
