The Chronomaster collection adds a new chapter to the legacy of the El Primero, the world's first integrated automatic high-frequency chronograph caliber. Operating at 5Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), the El Primero has remained an exceptional presence since its inception. This oscillation frequency has set the El Primero apart in the field of mechanical chronographs, and Zenith's watchmaking has established high-frequency precision as the core of its identity. For decades, it has evolved while remaining true to its fundamental philosophy of improving chronometric stability and precision through high oscillation.

Today, the 'Chronomaster Sport', part of this lineage, is equipped with the El Primero 3600, controlled at 5Hz, enabling precise 1/10th of a second measurement through its high oscillation. This performance is a direct result of the El Primero's architecture. While conventional chronographs have a central chronograph hand that completes one rotation per minute, the El Primero 3600's hand completes one rotation in 10 seconds. Each step of the second hand corresponds to 1/10th of a second, directly indicating it on the graduated ceramic bezel, thus achieving the measurement and display of performance made possible by high oscillation. Zenith's chronographs have maintained this technical approach for over half a century.

Skeleton Structure Visualizing Performance
