LuckyFes'26 Selects 4 Acts from 1,132 Entries in 'Battle to LuckyFes' Final Audition

LuckyFM Ibaraki Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture) held the final selection for the audition 'Battle to LuckyFes' for stage performance rights at LuckyFes'26, which will be held for four consecutive days on August 8 (Sat), 9 (Sun), 10 (Mon), and 11 (Tue, holiday) at Hitachi Seaside Park. From the 1,132 entries, they selected four acts: ALL iN FAZE, Kushima El, Cafne, and Zero[Hz].

The eight acts that advanced to the final selection after passing audio and video screenings from 1,132 entries were: WHISPER OUT LOUD, ALL iN FAZE, Cafne, Kushima El, Zero[Hz], Taira Aoi, night roomers, and hatata (in alphabetical order). The final audition was held on June 7 (Sunday) at the live house 'Shimokitazawa BASEMENTBAR'. The judges were five people: LuckyFes planning producer DJ DRAGON, LuckyFes chief coordinator Mena Mizumura, LuckyFM programming division leader Takashi Kamogawa, TuneCore Japan Takumi Tanabe, and BARKS Tetsuya Karasuma, with audience votes from 200 attendees also reflected in the results.

The four acts that won performance rights will appear as opening acts (O.A): ALL iN FAZE on August 8 (Sat), Kushima El on August 9 (Sun), Cafne on August 10 (Mon), and Zero[Hz] on August 11 (Tue, holiday). Performance times and stages will be announced later. Last year's O.A performer Sayaka Fukushima now hosts a program on LuckyFM and will perform at Lucky Space this year.

'Battle to LuckyFes’26' has been successfully completed. This time, it was held for the first time in Tokyo at Shimokitazawa BASEMENTBAR, and the passionate performances of the eight acts selected from over 1,000 applicant artists were astounding. I was surprised by the high energy of the fans who gathered.

High-level performances spanning genres such as rock, pop, singer-songwriter, etc., were presented one after another, making it a crossover event truly characteristic of LuckyFes. Every artist was wonderful; originally we planned to select three acts, but in recognition of their passion and skill, we decided to select four acts as LuckyFes'26 performers.

Including the artists who unfortunately were not selected, it was a very close judging. I am very happy that the first Tokyo event was successfully completed, and I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the attendees and especially to all the artists who took on the challenge.
