■ Background of the Launch

During the 2016 Kumamoto earthquakes, water outages were prolonged even in Minamiaso, our manufacturing base, and we witnessed the reality where drinking water couldn't reach even one of Japan's leading water source areas. This experience sparked the question: "We want to create water that can be reliably protected for 8 years."

Having started the pouch water business in 2012 and accumulated a shipping track record of over 13 million bottles, our company aimed to utilize the technology and branding know-how of that product to provide disaster stockpiles not just as "mere stockpiles," but as "branding tools bearing the names of companies and municipalities."

In recent years, the movement to review disaster stockpiles as part of strengthening corporate BCP (Business Continuity Planning) and SDGs management has been accelerating.
