LTS, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and CEO: Hiroaki Kabashima; hereinafter LTS) hosted an event in March 2026 featuring lectures and discussions on the theme of 'Business Architect,' a core talent role in conceptualizing and designing Digital Transformation (DX). Masaki Yamamoto, Managing Executive Officer and CSO of LTS, who leads the business architecture and corporate transformation domain, served as the instructor. The event provided a platform for heads and personnel of cross-functional departments responsible for launching and leading DX, corporate transformation, and transformation organizations at major domestic companies to exchange opinions and information.

The role of 'Business Architect,' common among Western companies advancing digital management, is beginning to be adopted by some major Japanese companies. On the day of the event, lively discussions were held with the participation of a total of 9 companies (Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd., OMRON Expert Link Co., Ltd., OMRON Transcosmos Process Innovation, Inc., Kansai Airports, Sysmex Corporation, SCREEN Business Expert Co., Ltd., Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., Daiichi Kigenso Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd., and MonotaRO Co., Ltd., in alphabetical order), including companies that LTS is supporting in this initiative.

### ■ What is a 'Business Architect,' the Key to DX Success?
In the 'Digital Skill Standard (DSS)' (a systematically organized guideline of digital-related skills that companies and individuals should acquire) published by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the 'Business Architect' is defined as a core talent essential for DX success. In the US, the forefront of business transformation, the recognition of this role as the talent that designs company-wide transformation and leads DX to success is already widespread in society. On the other hand, awareness in Japan is still low, and the population of such talent is developing. One of the reasons why DX initiatives in Japanese companies often remain at the level of 'system implementation' and fail to reach essential corporate and organizational transformation is the shortage of such talent.

### ■ Event Overview
Following the first event held in Tokyo last December, this second event saw the participation of many companies headquartered primarily in the Kansai area, leading to discussions that transcended regional boundaries. In the first part, Yamamoto, a working group member of METI for the DSS revision, shared the current status of transformation talent and future trends. In the second part, participants exchanged opinions and information based on their practical knowledge and sense of issues, focusing on themes such as forming organizations that lead business transformation, cultivating talent, and methods for advancing reform and improvement measures.
