Lotte Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, President and CEO: Hideki Nakajima, hereinafter 'Lotte'), in collaboration with Al, Inc. (Tokyo, CEO: Kensuke Furukawa, hereinafter 'Al'), will launch the generative AI service 'Pienomi AI 4-koma Maker' from June 10, 2026 (Wed) for a limited period of 64 days to commemorate the first anime adaptation in Pienomi's history. The period is named after the 64 layers of dough that are the secret to Pienomi's deliciousness. This is the second collaborative development using generative AI between Lotte and Al, following last year's release of the 'Bikkuriman AI Business Card Maker.'

Since its launch in 1979, Lotte has embarked on a major transformation of the long-selling 'Pienomi,' starting the new 'Pienomi Oshi no Mori Project' in April 2026 to depict its first-ever 'Oshi' (fave). Within the project's world-building, a story called 'Oshi no Mori' has begun, overflowing with love for Pienomi and inspired by modern fan-activity (Oshi-katsu) culture.

With the 'Pienomi AI 4-koma Maker,' users can utilize the latest image generation AI models to automatically generate an original 4-panel manga on the spot where they star alongside characters living in 'Pienomi Oshi no Mori' through their fan activities. This allows users to enjoy a 'new simulated experience' of becoming the protagonist of the 'Pienomi Oshi no Mori.' The unique AI-generated 4-panel manga can be downloaded as a finished image and easily shared on SNS.

We developed this in collaboration with Al with the aim of allowing each fan to enjoy an 'Oshi-katsu experience as a character in Pienomi Oshi no Mori' within a 4-panel manga, combining the newly constructed world view of 'Pienomi Oshi no Mori' with generative AI technology. Beyond just an anime commemorative project, we took on the challenge of elevating the world view of this long-loved brand into a new experiential value using the power of generative AI technology.
