Challenge to 'Zero Disposable Petroleum-Derived Plastic by 2048'! Lotte Opens Special Site 'Lotte Smile Eco' for Eco-Friendly Packaging, Publishing Estimated CO2 Emission Reductions for the First Time

Lotte Co., Ltd. (Representative Director, President and CEO: Hideki Nakajima, hereinafter 'Lotte') has newly launched a special website 'Lotte Smile Eco' that introduces initiatives for environmentally friendly packaging, such as its unique environmental label 'Smile Eco Label'. This site is characterized not only by consolidating information but also by publishing the results of estimating the CO2 emissions of the entire packaging lifecycle in some initiatives, visualizing the effect of reducing environmental impact.

Smile Eco Label To communicate our initiatives for environmentally friendly packaging to our customers in an easy-to-understand manner, Lotte has been sequentially displaying the 'Smile Eco Label' on products that meet our own environmental standards since 2022.

Smile Eco Challenge Lotte is promoting various initiatives toward the realization of a sustainable society in packaging and the like as the 'Smile Eco Challenge'. As part of this, the site also introduces packaging collection and recycling activities undertaken with students and other companies.
