(Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo), until Tuesday, April 21, 2026. Utilizing "wasted flowers®" ※1, which were scheduled to be discarded at the production site, RIN will create spatial installations in the 1st-floor show windows and various locations within Daimaru Tokyo Store. Through media such as displays and digital signage, the background from flower production to delivery to stores will be introduced. During the event period, there are plans to distribute "wasted flowers®" to purchasing customers, allowing them to experience new value and enjoyment along with the stories behind them.

Additionally, at production sites, flowers that do not meet market standards are sometimes discarded. RIN names these "wasted flowers®" and engages in initiatives to create new value from them.

At the 1st-floor concourse of Daimaru Tokyo Store, video content utilizing digital signage will be broadcast. The video introduces the process from flowers arriving at RIN's atelier, undergoing preparation, and transforming into dried flowers. Furthermore, the process of the completed dried flowers being transported to Daimaru Tokyo Store and displayed as interior decorations is condensed into approximately 30 seconds. By visualizing the story from flower production to spatial decoration, the aim is to deepen visitors' understanding of the flowers' background and sustainable initiatives.

Spring Interior Decorations Adorned with 'Wasted Flowers®'
Spatial installations utilizing "wasted flowers®" will be developed at the 1st-floor show windows, which serve as the entrance to Daimaru Tokyo Store, and various other locations within the store. The decorations use "wasted flowers®" dried from flowers from three flower farms. By arranging them one by one on the walls, the display highlights the individuality and beauty of each flower. The color scheme is based on warm tones such as mandarin orange and flamingo, creating a gorgeous space that evokes the arrival of spring throughout the store.
Furthermore, a portion of the "wasted flowers®" used in the spatial decorations will be distributed as gifts on Saturday, April 18th, and Sunday, April 19th, towards the end of the event period, with a limit of 100 people per day ※2. By connecting the flowers used in the decorations to visitors without discarding them, RIN promotes the circulation of "wasted flowers®" and offers an opportunity to experience their value.
※2 Limited to Daimaru/Matsuzakaya app members. Customers who spend ¥11,000 or more (tax included) per receipt in the target sales areas between Wednesday, April 1st, and Sunday, April 19th, are eligible.
