Loohcs Shijuku (Operated by: Loohcs Inc., Representative Director: Yuki Minei, Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) will co-host an event with Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) titled "What Does It Mean to Learn with the World? ~Thinking About the Learning Needed for the Coming Era with APU~."

This event is aimed at first to third-year high school students and their guardians. Participants will learn about APU's multicultural coexistence education and the characteristics of its international learning, where students from various countries and regions gather. Through various issues and changes arising in a globalizing society, participants will consider "what it means to learn with the world" from the perspectives of both APU and Loohcs Shijuku.

Furthermore, the event aims to provide an opportunity for each high school student to find the learning and way of life needed for the coming era, by offering a chance to think about what they want to question, what they want to learn, and what kind of career path to choose in connection with the world and society.

About This Event

We are entering an era where we live increasingly connected to the world. On the other hand, complex global issues such as climate change, inequality, conflict, and division exist, and the ability to live amidst diverse values is required.

It is precisely in such times that not only acquiring knowledge but also encountering different values, perceiving social issues as one's own, and developing the ability to formulate questions and think critically become important.

By bringing together Loohcs Shijuku's valued "inquiry skills" and APU's practiced "multicultural coexistence education," we will convey to high school students the perspective that "learning with the world" is not simply about knowing about overseas or international affairs, but about thinking about one's own way of life and the future society in relation to society while confronting diverse values.

This event will also introduce the educational environment and curriculum through which APU, with its diverse student body from various countries and regions, practices multicultural coexistence learning, and the experiences of students who are actually learning there. By experiencing the real learning at university and hearing student voices, we aim to provide high school students with an opportunity to concretely consider their own learning and future career paths.
