Due to revisions in the Curriculum Guidelines and the OECD "Education 2030/2040" proposals, education in Japan is currently undergoing a major shift from the "ability to reproduce correct answers" to the "ability to formulate questions."

However, in our collaborations with various schools, we have seen challenges surface in the field, such as:
- Inquiry-based activities becoming a mere "formality"
- Evaluation criteria being vague, making guidance difficult

At this event, Loohcs Shijuku—which has accompanied students in their "inquiries" for over 15 years as an institution specializing in comprehensive selection admissions, and has recently advanced lesson provisions and collaborations with public education sites—will delve into the core of "why inquiry-based learning is difficult" and "what determines its quality."

How can we foster the qualities and abilities required for the coming era within public education, rather than just merely preparing for entrance exams?
Along with sharing real practical experiences and challenges from the field, we will create a space for participants to connect beyond their schools and positions through dialogue, taking home practical knowledge.

We will also introduce practical examples of curriculums implemented in collaboration with high schools.
This will be an opportunity to think together with educators about the future of education and inquiry-based learning.

■ Features of the Event
(1) The "Essence of Inquiry" Seen from the Forefront of Comprehensive Selection
Based on Loohcs's guidance that produces over 100 successful Keio University applicants every year, and examples of collaboration with public education, we will clarify the difference between superficial activities and essential inquiry.

(2) Specific Sharing of Collaboration Examples with Public Education
We will specifically introduce how to improve the quality of inquiry based on actual introduction and intervention cases at school sites. We provide hints that can be utilized in classes from tomorrow.

(3) Interactive Workshop for Teachers to Connect
The biggest feature of this event is dialogue and exchange among participants. Beyond one's own school, while interacting with teachers from various schools, we will share:
- The difficulty of evaluation
- Worries about guidance and accompaniment
- Practical status and contents at each school
Participants will exchange insights applicable to their own schools, transcending school boundaries and positions.
It is designed as a "place to bring together challenges borne alone and find solutions together."
