Our company endorses April Dream, an initiative to make April 1st a day to announce dreams. This press release is the dream of NPO LOOB JAPAN. NPO LOOB JAPAN (Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Co-representatives: Sachie Kobayashi, Sachiko Yoshinaga) is engaged in youth development programs in Japan and the Philippines. Our motto is "not unilateral support from Japan, but learning and growing together with local Filipino youth." We aim to form a sustainable world through youth empowerment.

## What is LOOB's dream?

Our big dream at NPO LOOB JAPAN is to pass on a beautiful world free from absolute poverty and environmental pollution to the next generation of children! To achieve this, we are fostering youth with diverse perspectives to challenge global social issues, starting with the Philippines and Japan.

## What we are doing to realize our dream

LOOB's base is in Iloilo City, Philippines. We implement individual-oriented international understanding and exchange programs such as the "English Training + Social Action Program (ESAP)" in spring and summer. Additionally, in partnership with With The World Inc., we host "Global Youth Leadership Training (GYLP)" for high school and university students.
We also recruit Japanese interns as operational assistant managers to facilitate these training programs.

All of these are social issue-solving training programs organized by the LOOB Philippines Office. Centered on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), both Japanese students and Filipino students participating as sister/brother students learn deeply about social issues in the Philippines, such as education, environment, and poverty, and their realities, all in English, providing an environment for mutual learning.

## Steps of LOOB's International Exchange and Social Issue Resolution Program

1. Learn about social issues in English
2. Experience the field firsthand
3. Take on the SDGs Ideathon

Japanese participants work daily with local Filipino university students. On the final day, mixed teams of Japanese and Filipino students propose social issue projects in an Ideathon. Among all projects gathered from teams participating at the same time, after a judging process, the winning team's dream project is actually realized by LOOB in the Philippines.
(Many projects also gathered from February to the end of March 2026. They are currently under review at the Philippines office. Please look forward to seeing what ideas will be realized!)

## Youth as a Force for Social Change | LOOB Provides "Collaborative Experiences"

Not unilateral support from Japan, but learning and growing together with local people in the Philippines. This has been our cherished philosophy since our founding in 2001.
We promote collaborative experiences for youth who become a force for social change, fostering individuals who can play active leadership roles globally. LOOB will continue to promote educational exchange between Japan and the Philippines. We appreciate your continued support.
