Fujiwara Tamae Production, which sold out all performances at the Honda Gekijo last year, is staging a performance after a one-year hiatus. They welcome back Yosuke Yamazaki, the scriptwriter and director of the Honda Gekijo performance 'Dai Isaku', to present the first revival of 'Don't stop me now!', which was originally performed by his own theater company. The venue is the Little Theater B1, where they have performed many times before, and many cast members are participating for the first time, marking a new start for Fujiwara Tamae Production.
Group Overview
A performance produced by Tamae Fujiwara, who is active mainly in theater.
Established in 2019. Despite postponements and cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this will be the 21st performance.
Fujiwara Tamae Production's representative work, 'GIRLS TALK TO THE END', was adapted into a video in 2021 on ABC's 'Fast Like!'.
Last year, they held their first performance at Honda Gekijo, which sold out all shows.
Performance Overview
The stage is set in the sound and lighting booth during a play.
The staff working there and unrelated people who happen to come there
Sometimes clash, sometimes work together
To solve problems occurring on stage and troubles within the booth.
Can the curtain of the play be safely brought down today?!
Message from Scriptwriter and Director Yosuke Yamazaki
I am Yosuke Yamazaki, the scriptwriter and director.
Now, 'Don't stop me now!' is set in the sound and lighting booth during a play.
The sound and lighting booth. Do you know what that is? It's a dedicated space for sound and lighting staff, built at the very back of the audience seats, or above them (where the projection room is in a movie theater). That's the sound and lighting booth, and I often quietly watch my own performances there.
And you know, the sound and lighting staff actually talk quite a bit during the performance.
They communicate with staff in the wings via intercom (wireless), coordinate operations with each other, chuckle at funny scenes, or bob their bodies to the music.
I've even witnessed a veteran lighting staff member training a newcomer.
People like me come and go, and sometimes相关人员 who are told 'It's full, so watch from here' show up.
Anyway, a lot happens in the sound and lighting booth during a performance – 'Don't stop me now!' is a compilation of my experiences and observations over about 100 minutes.
Well, that's not entirely true; I wanted to create my own version of 'Apollo 13'.
In other words, the sound and lighting booth looked like Houston to me.
Anyway, 'Don't stop me now!' is interesting too.
It's Yamazaki's version of 'Apollo 13', a pure dialogue play with no singing or dancing. Come see it!

Message from Producer Tamae Fujiwara
Fujiwara Tamae Production started in 2019.
The following year, the COVID-19 pandemic began, and almost all performances were held during the pandemic.
Driven by a mysterious sense of justice, we continued to hold performances, and as a result, we were able to perform at Honda Gekijo last year.
Honestly, I wasn't planning to hold a performance this year, as if I was burned out,
but I heard that Yamazaki-kun, the writer and director, had almost no stage work this year, and I thought that wouldn't do (laughs).
So we decided to do this 'Don't stop me now!' on short notice.
It's a perfect title for the new start of Fujiwara Tamae Production.
Many of the performers are new to Tamapro, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what happens under Yamazaki's direction.
Let's meet again in Shimokitazawa this summer!
