Since its establishment in 2017, Kurenai no Kai has rediscovered the possibilities and charms of reading plays through various reading styles. This performance, titled "Reading Festival," welcomes Akiyo Yamaguchi, organizer of Sakura no Kai, as a guest, offering a rich program.

The repertoire includes Sonoko Sugimoto's historical novel "Yuzuriha no Ido," Ryunosuke Akutagawa's representative work "Torokko," the world of dark humor in Shinichi Hoshi's "Henken" and Takashi Atoda's "Bara Haitatsunin," and the mysterious tales of Roe Hirayama's "Kaen Tsutsuji" and Kōtarō Tanaka's "Hana no Saku Hi." Kurenai no Kai offers a diverse lineup performed daily.

At the confectionery shop Kanazawa Tango in Ueno Hirokoji, business thrived by drawing high-quality water from the Hon'ami family's "Yuzuriha no Ido" across the street.
