This will be the first reading drama adaptation of the series, with a total of four performances.

'Ikebukuro West Gate Park' is a novel series by author Ira Ishida, which has gained wide readership by depicting youth culture and social issues set in Ikebukuro, Tokyo.

To commemorate Ira Ishida's 30th debut anniversary in 2027, 'Ikebukuro West Gate Park' will be adapted into a reading drama as a new form of expression.

Performance Content and Story

This performance will reconstruct "Nishiguchi Midsummer Kyōran" from Ira Ishida's 'Kotsune Ikebukuro West Gate Park III' (Bunshun Bunko), the third work in the series, as a reading drama.

It will be performed as an ensemble drama depicting the relationships of young people living in the city, against the backdrop of rave culture and drug problems.
