The Biwa reading play 'Miyako under the Waves' (excerpts from the Tale of the Heike) will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Ryugu-den of Akama Shrine (4-1 Amidaji-cho, Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture). The Tale of the Heike excerpts 'Miyako under the Waves' marks its 6th performance since its premiere in 2018, and its 2nd time in three years at Akama Shrine. Every time, customers come from very far away to attend this performance.
