The stage of illusion where dance and heartbeat intersect.
Dancer Kazuhiro Nishijima, Japanese traditional dancer Naozo Fujima, and Taiko drummer Kyoichi Iwakiri.
A collaboration performance where three artists from different genres gather to challenge the fusion of Japanese and Western art.
Their physical expressions and sounds intersect, creating a new stage expression from their three unique interpretations and approaches.
Dance, Japanese traditional dance, and Taiko -
Please experience the world of 'Gensou Enbu' where these three expressions resonate with each other.
-Part 1-
Under the choreography and direction of Kazuhiro Nishijima, the classical ballet work 'Swan Lake', which premiered in Japan at the Tokyo Imperial Theater in 1946, is expressed by Naozo Fujima as the Swan, Kazuhiro Nishijima as the Prince, and Kyoichi Iwakiri's Taiko drumming as the incarnation of the devil. Taichiro Nomura, a Kyogen actor, will appear as the narrator, and with the addition of piano and traditional Japanese music, we will present a 'new production' of 'Swan Lake' that feels both new and nostalgic, which can only be expressed in Gensou Enbu.
-Part 2-
In addition to the worldview of performing arts culture possessed by Kazuhiro Nishijima, Naozo Fujima, and Kyoichi Iwakiri, guests from other genres will perform their performing arts in an omnibus format.
We will present musical pieces and works that show the roots of each performing art nurtured by each of them.
