LONGi Solar Technology Co., Ltd. (President: Nami Yo, Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo) has had its anti-glare and lightweight solar panels (solar cell modules) certified by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as 'Photovoltaic Systems with Excellent Functionality (Functional PV).' As a result, residential solar power systems using these certified products will be eligible for an additional subsidy in Tokyo's subsidy programs.
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government certifies photovoltaic systems with excellent functionality that address urban-specific situations (hereafter, Functional PV) and provides an additional subsidy for residential solar power systems. We recently applied for and obtained certification for our anti-glare and lightweight products in the public call for Functional PV for fiscal year 2025. Consequently, these products will be eligible for an additional subsidy in Tokyo's residential solar power system subsidy program for fiscal year 2026. The certified products and the additional subsidy amounts are as follows:
Certified Products (Certification Period: April 1, 2026 - March 31, 2027)

In urban areas, various installation conditions must be met for solar power systems, including densely packed housing, roof shapes and sizes, building load capacity, reflected light to neighboring houses, and harmony with the landscape.
The newly certified anti-glare solar panels feature anti-glare processed glass with an uneven surface structure. This diffuses and suppresses reflection from the panel surface, contributing to reducing the impact on the surrounding environment, such as neighboring houses and roads. In densely populated urban areas, consideration for reflected light is a crucial factor in smoothly promoting the adoption of solar power systems.

Furthermore, the lightweight solar panels, while made of glass, achieve a weight of 7.2 kg per square meter. This reduces the load on the roof compared to standard glass solar panels, expanding the possibility of installation on existing houses and other buildings where roof load capacity is a concern. While proper design considering the building's structure and regional wind and snow loads is necessary for installation, the reduced weight is expected to improve adaptability for roofs where installing solar power systems has been difficult.
Hi-MO X10, Lightweight type, Model: LR7-60HVHL-540~550M
The products certified this time are part of LONGi's 'Hi-MO X10' series lineup. The Hi-MO X10 employs BC (Back Contact) technology, which eliminates wiring on the cell surface to create a structure that maximizes the light-receiving area. This provides high power generation performance and long-term reliability, as well as a simple and beautiful appearance, making it a suitable product for residential roof installation.
Leveraging its globally cultivated solar cell technology development capabilities, LONGi is expanding its product lineup in the Japanese market to meet various installation conditions for both residential and commercial use. We will continue to contribute to the expansion of solar power system adoption in Japan, including urban areas, and the realization of a decarbonized society by providing products that consider the installation and surrounding environment, such as anti-glare and lightweight types.
