Longchamp, the Parisian maison brand founded in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, where authenticity and energy converge, is proud to announce a new chapter in its artistic endeavors following the "KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photo Festival 2026." Partnering with French designer Patrick Jouin, Longchamp is presenting the 'DROP' and 'OLO' tables and chairs*1, along with the 'Longchamp x Patrick Jouin' lamp, at Milan Design Week. These pieces, resonating with the maison's creative dialogue and savoir-faire, are currently on display at the Longchamp boutique on Milan's Via della Spiga.
The creative dialogue fostered by the Cassegrain family, founders of the maison, has expanded to include Studio Hoegl Borowski, Pierre Renard, and this year, Patrick Jouin. In boutiques designed as "apartments" reflecting the lifestyle of modern Parisian women, art and design pieces are showcased, making creative curiosity accessible. This led Longchamp to Patrick, who pursues functional beauty through design and materials. The 'DROP' side and coffee tables, known as works from the "Patrick Jouin Édition" collection, have been specially reinterpreted by Jouin, adorned in two brand colors: "Vert Héritage" and "Vert Lumière." Vibrant splash patterns are hand-painted like watercolors using the maison's unique enamel glaze on spun steel. Similarly, the 'OLO' armchair, also part of the collection, features leather edges dyed in "Vert Lumière," subtly matching the tables. These meticulously designed tables and chairs embody functional beauty born from savoir-faire, harmonizing refined lines with high-quality materials to create a unique personality.
The collaboration with Jouin extends beyond the "Patrick Jouin Édition" collection, evolving into the 'Longchamp x Patrick Jouin' lamp. Conceived as a modular conical object, the Ostara lamp, symbolizing the arrival of spring, utilizes grained leather provided by the maison's ateliers and is accented with the snap button from the iconic "Le Pliage®" bag, born in 1993. The leather, processed with innovative micro-perforation technology, seamlessly fits onto the French oak base, showcasing the delicate contrast between materials created by savoir-faire. Furthermore, it embodies a sustainable design approach, being rechargeable, portable, and recyclable with an integrated LED system. Limited to 10 numbered pieces, it is available at the Longchamp boutique on Milan's Via della Spiga and through official European online stores*2.
"Longchamp has long been committed to supporting designers with a strong vision, generously assisting their creative production, and bringing various forms of savoir-faire to the world. With Patrick, we share a common philosophy of creating products that can be cherished for a long time and enrich daily life. This collaboration was realized through a creative dialogue centered on materials, design, and functional beauty," says Sophie Delafontaine, Creative Director.
