Sendai Terminal Building Co., Ltd. and JR East Tohoku General Service Co., Ltd. are working on various businesses in the Tohoku area, aiming to realize the "Bringing vitality to regions and a prosperous Japan" as stated in the JR East Group Management Vision "Yusho 2034".
To further contribute to the revitalization of the Tohoku area and accelerate growth strategies, the two companies will merge on April 1, 2027.
Through this merger, we will integrate the functions and resources of both companies, promote value creation that crosses over station, line, and community development, thereby enhancing the appeal of stations such as Sendai Station and promoting the creation of lifestyles along the railway lines.
Furthermore, the new company and the JR East Group will work together to strengthen the creation of flow into Tohoku by creating destinations for travel, thereby realizing sustainable growth and the creation of regional vitality in the Tohoku area.
