The Takarazuka Revue Cosmos Troupe will hold a live viewing of the final performance of their Musical Romance 'Kurotokage' and Sparking Illuminate 'Diamond IMPULSE' at Takarazuka Grand Theater (Hyogo Prefecture) on Sunday, July 5, 2026, in cinemas across the country. 'Kurotokage', created by Edogawa Ranpo and dramatized by Yukio Mishima, has been staged numerous times and is a shining monument in Japanese theater history, even challenged by the Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe in 2007. This Cosmos Troupe performance, centered on the worldview woven by Edogawa Ranpo and elevated to a play by Yukio Mishima, boldly reinterprets and reworks it as a new 'Kurotokage' with the romanticism and grand scale unique to Takarazuka Revue. The stage is set in the capital, Tokyo, moving towards the glittering prosperity of post-war reconstruction. In a place untouched by that light, the 'demon city's' shadow, two figures, Kogoro Akechi and Kurotokage, stir the underworld. On a Christmas Eve sparkling with illuminations, their fates intertwine—. 'Diamond IMPULSE', performed concurrently, depicts the brilliance of diamonds that stir emotions and awaken impulses.
