■ Background and Achievements
In recent years, regenerative agriculture* has attracted global attention as "agriculture that regenerates the environment." Ahead of this trend, Nikoniko Farm has continued to grow vegetables using "no-till farming," which does not plow the fields, and "organic farming," which does not use pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Lively empathizes with Nikoniko Farm's vision of a "universal farm" where everyone, regardless of age, gender, or disability, can thrive through agriculture. Since last October, Lively has been jointly conducting regenerative agriculture experiential programs with Nikoniko Farm.
The two experiential programs held so far have been attended by a total of 30 people, from children to adults. Participants have commented, "I felt a connection with nature by touching the soil," and "I felt gratitude for food through the agricultural experience."
■ Purpose of this Program
The purpose of this program is to deeply understand the efforts and thoughts of producers behind food ingredients, and the value of ingredients born from the blessings of nature, through the experience of regenerative agriculture, and to connect this understanding to changes in daily awareness and actions.
By experiencing a part of the process until food reaches the table, we are planning activities that naturally foster an awareness of "let's use food carefully without wasting it." We hope that small changes in daily awareness will accumulate and become a big step towards reducing food loss.
On the day, participants will plant summer vegetable seedlings in the fields at Nikoniko Farm, which practices regenerative agriculture. In addition, a lecture is planned to help participants think about regenerative agriculture and food loss in a familiar way. By experiencing the growth process of vegetables that we usually eat casually with our own hands, and by enjoying the blessings of the farm during lunch, we will provide an opportunity to consider the relationship between our daily diet and nature and animals.
*What is Regenerative Agriculture?
It is an agricultural method that increases soil organic matter and repairs/improves the soil. Specifically, it includes "no-till farming" which cultivates crops without plowing the soil, "utilization of cover crops" for soil recovery, and "organic farming" which does not use pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Soil restored by no-till farming stores CO2, making it a focus as a climate change countermeasure.

・Those who want to interact with nature and animals
*Anyone from children to adults can participate.
