Hotel Listel Hamanako (Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture; General Manager: Yoshiyuki Sugiyama), situated on the beachfront of Oku-Hamanako, will open its rooftop terrace sky pool one week earlier than last year, once again becoming the first hotel in the Hamanako region to open for the season.*1

The rooftop sky pool offers a panoramic view reminiscent of a cruise ship’s main pool. Reclining chair rentals are also available.

◆ Utilizing rooftop-mounted solar panels

The hotel uses self-generated electricity from solar panels, operational since April, to power mist fans that reduce heat reflection around the pool area, providing a more comfortable resort environment.

The solar panels can be viewed from the stairs behind the pool.

Achieving an eco-resort with cutting-edge technology.

The installation of new lightweight silicon solar panels, which overcome load-bearing limitations, marks the beginning of sustainable energy use and a new guest experience. The resort is evolving into an environmentally conscious destination that rejuvenates both mind and body.

◆ Sky Pool Beneath the Open Sky

The sky pool, offering exceptional views, is an exclusive facility for hotel guests. It can be used free of charge from check-in to check-out. A dedicated lifeguard is on duty.

Admission is divided into morning and afternoon sessions. Pool dimensions: 20m length × 6m width × 1m depth.

Beyond Oku-Hamanako lies Kanaya-dera Temple. From the rooftop of O-kusayama, the pool is directly in front, and to the right, solar-powered lounge chairs are available for rent at 1,000 yen per day.

◆ On social media, the serialized drama "Hamanako Natsu Monogatari 2026" is posted daily, showcasing the full resort experience.
